Metformin Hydrochloride+teneligliptin belongs to the group of medications called 'antidiabetic agents' used to treat type 2 diabetes mellitus. It is a medical condition in which blood glucose levels are above normal due to insulin deficiency, insulin resistance, or both.

Metformin Hydrochloride+teneligliptin is a combination of two medicines, namely: Teneligliptin and Metformin hydrochloride. Teneligliptin works by stopping the action of the dipeptidyl peptidase-4 enzyme, which in turn increases the insulin levels in the body and reduces the glucagon levels. Metformin hydrochloride acts by decreasing liver glucose production and intestinal glucose uptake. Together, Metformin Hydrochloride+teneligliptin helps control blood sugar levels.

Take Metformin Hydrochloride+teneligliptin as prescribed. You are advised to take Metformin Hydrochloride+teneligliptin for as long as your doctor has prescribed it for you, depending on your medical condition. In some cases, Metformin Hydrochloride+teneligliptin may cause side effects such as nausea, constipation, abdominal pain, bloating, loss of appetite, and diarrhoea.
